Heavy rains on Friday brought more flooding to Livingston County, compounding damage from storms just ten days earlier.
In Avon, officials estimate $2.7 million in road and infrastructure damage after repeated storms. In Livonia’s Lakeville area, rising waters forced some residents to wade through or ride in pickup trucks to escape flooding. One homeowner said water rushed under her house, flooding her garage but sparing her living space.
Officials continue to monitor conditions as communities struggle with ongoing damage and cleanup.
