Jason Conrad, the executive chef at The Local Palate in Phelps, has been appointed as the new director of food services for the district this spring.
Conrad replaces Gerry Barker, who retired last year and has been serving in an interim capacity.
Conrad brings extensive experience to the role, having worked as an executive chef for Metz Culinary Management in Rochester and at Top of the Lake Restaurant in Penn Yan.
His two-year tenure at The Local Palate has been marked by positive reviews from customers and the industry.
