Eleven nonprofit organizations in Ontario County will share over $572,000 in grant funding to enhance arts, cultural, and recreational facilities for residents. The grants, funded by the Federal American Rescue Plan Act, were approved by the county’s Board of Supervisors.
In August, Ontario County solicited grant applications for projects addressing COVID-19 impacts, investing in arts and culture, and creating or enhancing recreational opportunities. The grants ranged from $10,000 to $100,000. This funding round follows a previous award in October, bringing the total to over $1.9 million for arts, culture, and recreation in the county.
The initiative aims to support the recovery, economic resilience, and quality of life in Ontario County by improving accessibility and availability of cultural and recreational facilities.
