Two hospitalized after serious crash in Seneca; state police investigating

New York State Police are investigating a major crash that occurred in the Town of Seneca. The incident, which took place just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, involved a van and an agricultural tanker truck at the intersection of County Road 5 and Lake to Lake Road. Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of the collision.


The crash resulted in injuries to three individuals. A 58-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman from the van were rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital. While the woman suffered serious injuries, they were not life-threatening, and the man sustained minor injuries. The 55-year-old driver of the tanker truck also received minor injuries and was treated at Geneva General Hospital.

The investigation into this traffic incident continues as troopers work to uncover the factors that led to the collision. Meanwhile, the community is reminded to exercise caution at intersections and while driving near large vehicles.
