Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reported that deputies arrested 29-year-old Tyler L. Mack of Addison last weekend for illegal possession of multiple weapons. Following a tip-off, an investigation revealed that Mack, a convicted felon currently on parole, unlawfully kept shotguns, a rifle, a handgun, and chuka sticks at his residence.
Mack was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Following his arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court, he was remanded to Steuben County Jail.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Parole Division, in making the arrest. Sheriff Allard expressed gratitude for their assistance in the case.
