An Ontario County sheriff's investigation led to a petit larceny charge Friday after merchandise valued at $49 was reported stolen from Von Maur at Eastview Mall.
Deputies said the arrest occurred at 2:27 p.m. Sept. 18 at the store, 300 Eastview Mall Drive in Victor.
Investigators said Kyanaliz Santos, 19, of Rochester concealed the merchandise in her purse and passed all points of sale without attempting to pay.
Santos was charged with one count of petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket for a later date in Victor Town Court.
