Waterloo woman who hit SF police officer last month arrested for assault, resisting after new incident

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Waterloo woman who was arrested for hitting a police officer while being released from custody was arrested a second time.

The original incident took place in March, according to deputies, who say Shameeza Aziz, 52, of Waterloo struck a Seneca Falls police officer.

On April 13, deputies arrested Aziz again for third-degree assault and resisting arrest.

She’s accused of causing physical injury to another person with a dangerous instrument during a domestic incident. When deputies tried taking her into custody – Aziz resisted, prompting the additional charge.

Aziz was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for centralized arraignment.
