Three hospitalized after crash in Wayne County

A traffic accident in the Town of Arcadia resulted in injuries to both drivers involved, as reported by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at the intersection of State Route 31 and County House Road, where a vehicle attempting a left turn was struck by a following vehicle that failed to stop in time. Both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.


In addition to the drivers, a passenger from the lead vehicle received medical attention at Newark Wayne Hospital to assess his injuries. The severity of these injuries has not been disclosed, underscoring the impact of the collision on all individuals involved.

Emergency services, including Wayne County EMS, Newark-Arcadia Volunteer Ambulance, and Newark Fire Department, responded to the scene to assist. While the investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into the exact cause of the crash is still underway, the incident highlights ongoing safety concerns on local roads and the importance of cautious driving.
