The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on Monday.
Around 6 p.m. deputies arrested Shawn Rahn, 40, for DWI, refusing to submit to a chemical test, unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of an accident and moving from lane unsafely.
The charges stem from an accident where deputies arrived on-scene and observed Rahn attempting to flee on foot. After being apprehended he showed signs of being intoxicated. Deputies also smelled alcohol.
He was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
