Oswaldo Cabrera, Juan Soto lead Yankees to first 3-0 start since 2003

For the first time in 21 years, the New York Yankees are 3-0 to start the season.

The Yankees rallied again for a 5-3 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday night, led by Oswaldo Cabrera and Juan Soto.

With New York trailing 3-1 in the seventh inning, Austin Wells worked a walk, and Cabrera cranked his second home run of the season to tie the game. Two batters later, Soto drilled one into the left-field seats for his first homer as a Yankee, putting the Yankees on top. Anthony Volpe provided a big insurance run in the eighth with his first bomb of the season before Clay Holmes closed it out in the ninth to secure his second save.

Marcus Stroman made his Yankee debut and allowed three unearned runs over six innings, picking up the win. Ian Hamilton followed that with two shutout frames.
