The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office gave an update on a structure fire in the town of Richmond, which happened during the late-evening hours on March 13.

First responders were called to Ace Road in Richmond a little before 9 p.m. for a reported structure fire.

The sheriff’s office says a shed on the property caught fire while no one was home. Firefighters were not able to contain the blaze in time and the structure was destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.

Bristol, Richmond, and Hemlock fire departments responded to the scene, as well as Richmond Ambulance.
