The Daily Messenger has announced a significant shift in its delivery method, moving to postal delivery starting April 16, to make delivery service more reliable for its subscribers. This change is part of the publication’s attempt to adapt to the growing demand for digital news content while maintaining its strong presence in the print media space.
The transition to mail delivery for the print edition is aimed at complementing this digital shift, focusing on providing readers with in-depth insights, context, and features that celebrate the local community.
Gannett Co. Inc., which owns The Daily Messenger along with over 200 other daily local newspapers, is implementing this delivery model across various markets to balance the evolving news consumption habits of its readership.
In 2020, Gannett sold The Messenger’s physical office in Canandaigua.
