Lodi Town Board meeting rescheduled after three members absent

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

In an unexpected turn of events, the Lodi Town Board was forced to postpone its monthly meeting scheduled for last night, as not enough members were present to make official decisions. The meeting, which usually takes place at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Volunteer Lodi Fire Department, could not proceed as planned.

The absence was notable, with Deputy Supervisor Trevor Sibley, along with council members Daniel Jacobsen and James Utter, unable to attend. This left Supervisor Luke Latini and council member Chance Van Cleef as the only officials present, falling short of the required quorum. Supervisor Latini explained that one of the council members was away for first responders training and could not return to Lodi in time for the meeting.

To address this issue, the Lodi Town Board has rescheduled the session to ensure town business can be conducted without further delay. The new meeting date is set for March 27, 2024, still taking place at the usual venue of the Lodi Volunteer Fire Department, located at 8557 NY-414, Lodi, NY 14860, and will begin at 7 p.m..
