Red Creek man had stolen vehicle; arrested second time in two days

Deputies arrested a Red Creek man following an investigation into a traffic stop in Wolcott.

Derek Thompson, 21, was arrested fro criminal possession of stolen property, criminal trespass, and harassment, as well as several traffic violations.

It’s alleged that Thompson was in possession of and operating a stolen vehicle when stopped on Monday by deputies. He already had charges pending from an incident on Sunday, deputies added in a press release.

During that incident – Thompson struck a person with a closed fist causing injury. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
