For the first time ever, the Dundee/Bradford girls basketball team has won a sectional championship.
The No. 1 seeded Bravescots took down the No. 2 seeded Keshequa Indians, 51-47, in the Class C2 finals on Friday night at Finger Lakes Community College.

It was a tight game for the entire contest as it was 11-11 after eight minutes, 24-20 Dundee/Bradford at halftime, and 37-35 Dundee/Bradford after three quarters. Each team traded leads in the final period, but a couple of missed three-pointers from Keshequa in the final minute and late free throws helped the Bravescots secure the victory.
Bruna Crespo led Dundee/Bradford with 17 points. Kendall Parker, who was named tournament MVP, scored 15 points.
The Bravescots improved to 22-1 on the season, while the Indians ended at 21-3.
Dundee/Bradford will take on the Class C1 champion Bloomfield in the New York State Class C Far West Regional qualifier on Tuesday night. The time and location are to be determined.
