A Burdett resident, Daniel B. Bardeen, has admitted guilt to burglary charges and received a probation sentence in Schuyler County.

Bardeen, aged 50, pled guilty on February 15 to third-degree burglary, a class D felony, acknowledging his unlawful entry into a Reading town building in June 2023.

As part of his plea agreement, Bardeen was sentenced to five years of felony probation by Judge Matthew C. Hayden.

Officials said the sentencing aims to provide a structured framework for rehabilitation while keeping the community safe.
