In an update in Schuyler County, Steven C. Mayo, a 45-year-old resident of Burdett, entered a guilty plea for his involvement in the sale of methamphetamine.

The plea, submitted on February 15, addresses charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, classified as a class D felony.

Mayo’s guilty plea stems from his actions of selling meth within Schuyler County, posing a direct threat to community health and safety.

The court’s documentation outlines the serious nature of Mayo’s criminal activities and their impact on the county.

Scheduled for sentencing by Hon. Matthew C. Hayden on March 14, Mayo faces a potential prison sentence of up to 2.5 years.
