Unsolved Mystery: The 2015 homicide of Kimberly Rouland in Wayne County

Eight years have passed since Kimberly Rouland, a 32-year-old mother from Arcadia, Wayne County, was reported missing and subsequently found dead in a chilling case that remains unsolved.

On February 10, 2015, Thomas Rouland alerted the New York State Police in Lyons that his wife had disappeared the previous evening, leaving behind her essentials and vehicle. The search that ensued throughout February led to a grim discovery on March 12, when Kimberly’s body was located in a snowbank, mere miles from their home, prompting the medical examiner to rule her death a homicide.


Despite extensive investigations, Kimberly Rouland’s murderer has yet to be brought to justice. At the time of her death, she left behind three young children, aged 4, 10, and 11, amplifying the urgency and heartbreak surrounding her case. Authorities continue to seek any leads or information that could unravel the mystery of Kimberly’s death and provide closure to her family.
