The Buffalo Sabres received some good news.
Forward Tage Thompson joined the team for the morning skate ahead of their home game Tuesday night against the Detroit Red Wings and is expected to play, head coach Don Granato announced.
Thompson missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury he suffered on November 14 against the Boston Bruins.
Thompson has six goals and six assists in 16 games this season.
