Firefighters were dispatched to a serious overnight blaze in Lyons on Tuesday.

The call came in between 11 and 12 p.m., according to first responders.
Scanner traffic indicated that a two-story split-level home was fully involved on Pilgrimport Road in Lyons.

A neighbor said that while the family who lived there was safe—the entire home was a loss. “Family safe but lost everything,” the neighbor posted in an update to a community group on Facebook. “Prayers for everyone. Thank you to all those who helped with this and put out the fire.”
The poster noted that the family was still looking for their dog, who ran off during the blaze.
Multiple departments responded to the scene from around Lyons.
