Judah Mintz scored a career-high 26 points, and the Syracuse Orange picked up an 89-77 victory over Canisius on Wednesday night at the JMA Wireless Dome, improving to 2-0 on the season.
Mintz shot 8-of-15 from the field, 8-of-9 from the foul line, and added three rebounds and four assists. His 46 points in the first two games this season are the most in consecutive games in his career.
JJ Starling netted 17, Justin Taylor poured in 13, and Chris Bell scored 12.
Syracuse shot 54% (35-65) from the field and 12-of-19 at the free throw line.
