Teen charged with damaging soccer field in Williamson

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a local teen following a property damage investigation in Williamson.

Nicholas P. Pettit, 19, of Walworth, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident at the Williamson Town Park.


Authorities allege Pettit drove his truck onto the soccer field, performing donuts and subsequently causing significant damage.

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff has issued Pettit an appearance ticket and he was subsequently released.

He is scheduled to appear before the Williamson Town Court at a forthcoming date to respond to the charge.
