Teen charged with sexual abuse at Manchester Inn

An 18-year-old was taken into custody Friday after an investigation revealed alleged sexual contact with a child under 14 at a Manchester motel.

Hunter J. Northrop was arrested at the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and charged with sexual abuse in the second degree, according to a press release issued by the department.

Authorities said the incident occurred while Northrop and the victim were residing at the Manchester Inn, located at 4078 State Route 96 in the Town of Manchester. The investigation determined that Northrop “had touched another person, who is less than fourteen years old in a sexual manner.”

Investigators LaBrake and Schroo conducted the case, which led to Northrop’s arrest at approximately 1:42 p.m. He was later transported to the Ontario County Jail, processed, and held pending centralized arraignment that evening.
