Authorities provided an update on a personal injury crash that happened on State Route 88 in the town of Arcadia during the morning hours on Thursday.
Around 6:25 a.m. first responders were called to part of Route 88 for a crash.
Upon investigation, it was determined that Luke Vanalstyne, 21, of Macedon was traveling north on Route 88 when he fell asleep at the wheel, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
He collided with a tree and was transported to Strong Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies were assisted by the Fairville Fire Department and Newark-Arcadia Ambulance.
