On September 20 around 1:30 a.m. New York State Police were dispatched to the Kwik Fill gas station and convenience store located in Lyons following reports of a robbery.
Police launched an immediate investigation upon arrival, determining that an unidentified suspect had allegedly threatened an employee with a knife while demanding cash from the register.
Following the initial investigations, police apprehended a Lyons resident, Jerome Testman, 40, several hours following the incident. Testman was charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony, indicating the seriousness of the crime.
Post-arrest, Testman underwent processing at state police headquarters in Lyons and was subsequently taken to the Wayne County Jail.
