Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard announced the arrest of Gordon T. Taft, 41, of Bath on September 9.
The arrest followed an investigation into a reported breach of an order of protection in Savona.
It’s alleged that Taft violated a legally issued order of protection.
Notably, he had a similar conviction within the past five years.
Consequently, Taft was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both Class E felonies.
Following his arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Court, Taft was released.
