The Ithaca City School District unveiled a new mobile application and revamped website to bolster communication and accessibility for its students and staff.
Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the “Ithaca City School District NY” app offers users a live news feed, an event calendar, an emergency alert system, and a document manager, encompassing all 12 district schools.
The updated website now boasts translation capabilities across the entire site and provides improved access to district documents and updates.
Collaborating with Apptegy, an Arkansas-based ed-tech firm, since December, the district transitioned its entire previous website to Apptegy’s platform. The resulting interface is optimized for mobile use, and the combined website and app ensure centralized, real-time communication. The district is actively seeking feedback on these digital enhancements via a public survey, aiming to fine-tune the tools for the 2023-2024 academic year.
