An accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car on State Route 14, near State Route 54, resulted in two children suffering non-life-threatening injuries on Tuesday.
Brooke Draper, 37, of Tioga, Pennsylvania, had her car stationary in the northbound lane when Rondolph Fanuil, 59, rear-ended it with his tractor-trailer. Following the crash, one child was airlifted to Strong, while the other also received medical attention.
The segment of State Route 14 between State Route 54 and Swartout Road remained closed for over three hours. Fanuil received a ticket for following too closely, and the Yates County Sheriff’s Department is continuing its investigation into the incident. Multiple agencies, including Dresden Fire and the New York State Police, collaborated in the response efforts.
