Authorities are investigating a reported shooting that took place on Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 PM near the intersection of West Buffalo Street and North Geneva Street.
According to a witness at the scene, a black male was seen discharging a firearm from a white vehicle traveling west on West Buffalo Street. The shot was reportedly directed at an unidentified individual on the sidewalk. After the incident, the vehicle continued moving south on North Geneva Street.
Another witness claimed to have heard the gunshot and observed a black sedan speeding away from the vicinity. Despite immediate response and search efforts, officers have yet to find any evidence or identify any victims connected to the shooting.
The Ithaca Police Department urges anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
