  • Staff Report

Authorities are delving into an assault incident that occurred Wednesday on Owasco Street, which resulted in one individual being hospitalized with non-critical injuries.

According to first responders, it’s believed that two individuals assaulted the victim at 110 Owasco St., using an unidentified weapon.

While the suspects remain unidentified and at large, the police are confident in their leads, suggesting a potential targeted attack rather than a random act.

The affected individual was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment.

As the investigation progresses, local residents spotted police at the scene, marked off with caution tape. The department encourages anyone with information to anonymously contact them at (315) 253-3231 or through the online tip line on the Auburn city website.
