The New York Mets made another trade Monday evening.
The club sent outfielder Mark Canha and cash considerations to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for right-hander Justin Jarvis (Brewers’ No. 30 prospect).
Canha, 34, smacked six homers with a .725 OPS with New York this season, and he’s a career .248/.348/.422 hitter with 108 homers, 39 steals, and 146 doubles across nine Major League seasons.
Jarvis, 23, is a former fifth-round pick. In 17 starts between Double-A and Triple-A this season, he is 6-6 with a 4.33 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 102 strikeouts in 87 1/3 innings.
