Rochester-based indie band, Joywave, is set to perform at the Great New York State Fair at Chevy Court, 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3.
Formed in 2010, Joywave has gained international acclaim with a series of successful albums, including “How Do You Feel Now?” which peaked at #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album chart.
The band’s energetic performances have graced major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella, and they’ve shared stages with renowned bands like The Killers and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
The New York State Fair, starting Wednesday, Aug. 23 and running through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, features the Chevrolet Music Series with 48 acts spread across 13 days. Other announced performers include Chubby Checker, Salt-N-Pepa, and REO Speedwagon.
Fair admission tickets, which include access to the concerts, are priced at $6 for adults and free for children 12 years old and under, and seniors 65 years old and over. The full list of performers can be viewed on the Fair’s website.
