The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office says a Fair Haven man was arrested after a dispute where he prevented the victim from calling for help.
It happened on July 5, the sheriff’s office said, noting that the suspect, John Mulcahy, 36, was not cooperative. He was eventually found hiding in a shed on the property and was taken into custody due to having multiple other warrants.
Mulcahy then provided deputies with false information. As result, he was charged with criminal mischief and false impersonation.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
