In an effort to bolster the economic recovery of their downtowns, three Cayuga County villages have decided to collectively apply for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
Aurora, Cayuga, and Union Springs will work together on a single application for the $10 million prize.
The collective bid capitalizes on the commonalities of the villages, such as their location on Cayuga Lake and Route 90.
In addition to the DRI, each village will separately apply for New York Forward funding.
