The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Shortsville man was taken into custody on several charges and held on $500 cash bail following a sex abuse investigation.
Timothy Nielsen, 31, was charged with two counts of second-degree sex abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and forcible touching.
Details of the investigation were not released. However, deputies said in a statement that the investigation originated with Child Protective Services.
A stay away order was issued on behalf of the victim.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
