Deputies report the arrest of a Canisteo man following a welfare fraud investigation in Steuben County.
Travis Carlton, 24, is accused of trading another person’s benefit card issued by DSS for cash.
As result, he received more than $630 worth of benefits illegally.
He was charged with misuse of food stamps and petit larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
