The Cayuga County Health Department has confirmed that residents in the Consolidated Water District, Town of Fleming, can now safely use their tap water without boiling it first.
This update comes after a water main break caused a loss of pressure in the water system earlier in the week, prompting an advisory for residents to either boil their water or use bottled alternatives.
After a series of satisfactory drinking water samples collected on Wednesday and Thursday, the Health Department has now lifted the boil-water advisory.
