A Newark man was taken into custody after a warrant was discovered and brief pursuit.
Deputies say Roderick Lampley, 48, of Newark was observed walking on East Union Street in the village.
He was known to have an active warrant for his arrest so deputies attempted to apprehend him. That’s when Lampley fled on foot, resulting in a brief foot pursuit.
He was eventually taken into custody on an obstruction charge.
An appearance ticket was issued for his arrest.
