The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Canandaigua man died in a fatal crash that happened in the town of Bristol around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
The scene was on Tilton Road and when deputies arrived they found a passenger vehicle that had been traveling east and exited the roadway- colliding with a tree head-on.
The operator, and only occupant, was identified as Brian Smead, 34, of Canandaigua.
Deputies said in a news release that Smead was pronounced dead at the scene and the crash remained under investigation.
