The New York Yankees (13-8) bounced back with a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays (12-9) on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
With the game knotted at two in the bottom of the ninth inning, DJ LeMahieu came off the bench to pinch-hit for Franchy Cordero in a bases-loaded and nobody situation. On the second pitch of the at-bat, LeMahieu ripped one through the left side of the infield for a walk-off single.

The game-winning hit came right after Wandy Peralta served up a game-tying home run to pinch-hitter Danny Jansen in the top of the ninth inning.
Anthony Volpe provided the rest of the offense as he blasted one over the right-field wall in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a scoreless tie. It was his second big-league homer.
Gerrit Cole turned in another scoreless outing, tossing 5 2/3 shutout innings while allowing four hits and striking out four.
The Yankees will try to win another series on Sunday with Clarke Schmidt on the hill. The first pitch is slated for 1:35 p.m.
