State police made an arrest during the early-morning hours in Rochester after they observed a vehicle with a suspended registration.
The operator, identified as Jahiem Lawhorn, 21, of Rochester, was found to be in possession of an illegal 9mm handgun. It was loaded with a high-capacity magazine and 13 rounds of ammunition, according to troopers.
Lawhorn was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, as Class C and D felonies, as well as AUO, and operating with a suspended registration.
He was taken to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
