Deputies say one person is in custody after a woman was threatened with a hatchet and held against her will in the town of Waterloo.
According to a news release, on March 18th around 6:30 a.m. 46-year-old Tommie Martin Jr., of Greece was arrested in Waterloo following a domestic incident that happened the morning prior.
Martin was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and unlawful imprisonment.
He’s accused of holding a woman against her will at her own residence in Waterloo during a domestic dispute. He’s also accused of threatening the woman with a hatchet, verbally harassing her along the way.
Martin was taken into custody without incident and released on his own recognizance. A stay away order was granted for the victim.
