One held without bail on felony charges after string of burglaries in Ithaca

One person is in custody without bail after several burglary investigations in the city.


On March 16th around 12:05 p.m. IPD was investigating a burglary alarm in the 500 block of West Seneca Street.

Officers stopped a person who had just left the area, who also matched the description of recent thefts and burglaries in the city.


This man, later identified as Lawrence Williams Jr., 39, of Ithaca was charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal mischief, as well as misdemeanor counts of possession of burglar’s tools and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Williams was arraigned and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
