The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Hemlock resident following an investigation into illegally obtained public benefits.
On March 15th Christopher Cassidy, 31, was found to have obtained benefits from DSS and Geneva Housing Authority by filing false documents and failing to report employment.
As result, he stole $4,595 in SNAP benefits and $10,288 in Section 8 Housing Benefits.
Cassidy was arrested for two counts of grand larceny and will answer the charges at a later date.
