Sabres allow 10 goals in ugly blowout loss to Stars

The Buffalo Sabres got embarrassed on Thursday night as they suffered a 10-4 loss to the Dallas Stars at KeyBank Center. With the loss, Buffalo dropped to 32-28-4 (68 points) on the season.

The Sabres fell into a quick hole but could never recover despite making it a two-goal game with just under 17 minutes left in regulation. Dallas scored five goals in the third period to run away with it.


Jordan Greenway scored his first goal as a Sabre and collected an assist. Kyle Okposo and Jeff Skinner also notched goals. Eric Comrie made 39 saves but allowed all 10 goals.

Buffalo went 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will try to snap their three-game skid on Saturday against the New York Rangers. Puck drop is scheduled for 5 p.m.
