Deputies gave an update on a single-car crash that happened on Buerman Road in the town of Sodus on Wednesday.
Around 8:15 p.m. deputies were dispatched to an area of Buerman Road for a truck that struck a mailbox and left the scene.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Joshua Kendt, 41.
Kendt’s vehicle struck an earth embankment, hit several trees, and then came to rest.
Deputies say a blood draw was conducted and the investigation is active.
