Several departments were called to another major structure fire in Cayuga County late-Thursday.
An earlier barn fire and overnight structure fire left first responders in Cayuga County tired. But around 7:30 p.m. firefighters from Scipio, Poplar Ridge, Aurora, Long Hill, Fleming, and Moravia were called to Black Street for a structure fire.
The first units on-scene confirmed heavy black smoke and a structure fire in the upper-portion of the house, according to the Cayuga-Seneca Fire Wire.
A tanker task force was utilized to fight the fire.
Crews remained on-scene for hours after being toned out battling tough weather conditions in addition to the fire.
