The New York Yankees finally have a new assistant hitting coach.
Brad Wilkerson was named the team’s next assistant hitting coach on Monday, replacing Hensley Meulens, who left and accepted a job as the Colorado Rockies’ lead hitting coach.
Wilkerson played Major League Baseball with the Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, and Toronto Blue Jays.
The 45-year-old spent the last three years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Jacksonville University.
