Police have arrested a Geneva man following a sex abuse investigaiton in the city.
ACcording to a news release, Eric Helstrom, 23, of Geneva was arrested on January 23rd for first-degree sex abuse.
The investigation into Helstrom began in March 2022 after receiving information that he had sexually abused a 6-year-old girl in Geneva.
The investigation revealed that in June 2021 the suspect sexually abused the girl.
Police say Helstrom was arraigned on the charge and will appear in court at a later date.
Ontario County CPS and the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes assisted with the investigation.
