The Buffalo Sabres (20-18-2) were unable to snap their skid as they dropped their third straight game with a 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets (27-14-1) on Thursday night at KeyBank Center.
The story of this game was missed opportunities. Buffalo had several high-quality scoring chances, including two breakaways and five power plays but could not capitalize.
Victor Olofsson and Tyson Jost scored for the Sabres. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 23-of-26 shots in his first game back from an illness.
The Sabres will try to bounce back on Saturday night in Nashville when they take on the Predators.
